60V, 4A DC/DC uModule regulator in a plastic surface mount package from Linear

Linear has introduced the LTM8027, a new 4A system-in-a-package DC/DC uModule regulator that includes inductor, power switches, switching regulator and all support components. The LTM8027 is capable of operating from a 60V supply without any input protection and suitable for 12V and 24V automotive and heavy equipment applications such as industrial robotics, 48V telecom, avionics and industrial control systems.

The key features of the LTM8027 uModule regulator are,

Complete switch mode power supply
Operating input voltage ranges from 4.5V to 60V
Output voltage range from 2.5V to 24V
Programmable soft-start
10µA of shutdown supply current
Selectable switching frequency current mode control
Up to 95% of efficiency

The LTM8027's features resistor adjustable or clock synchronizable switching frequency from 100kHz to 500kHz. The device draws only 10uA when in shutdown.

Operating temperature range: -40ºC to 125ºC and -55ºC to 125ºC
