125 kHz single-channel wakeup receiver IC
Austriamicrosystems has announced the expansion of its RF product portfolio with the release of AS3930, a new single-channel low power, low frequency wakeup receiver IC that supports the 125 kHz band through the optimization of power consumption, sensitivity and programmability. The AS3930 is suitable for a variety of applications such as active RFID tags, high-value asset tracking, real-time location systems, operator identification, access control or keyless entry, and wireless sensors.
The key features and benefits of the AS3930 wakeup receiver IC are,
Carrier frequency range 110 - 150 kHz
Programmable wakeup pattern (16bits), doubling of wakeup pattern supported
Wakeup without pattern detection supported
100”VRMS (typ.) of wakeup sensitivity
Adjustable sensitivity level
High resistant to false wakeups
Periodical forced wakeup supported (1s - 2h)
Low power listening modes
1.37 ”A (typ.) of current consumption in listening mode
Data rate adjustable from 0.5 - 4 kbps (Manchester)
Manchester decoding with clock recovery
Digital RSSI
64dB of dynamic range
5-bit RSSI step (2dB per step)
RTC based on 32kHz XTAL, RC-OSC, or external clock
Bi-directional serial digital interface (SDI)
Operating input voltage range: 2.4V to 3.6V (TA = 25șC)
"By using the AS3930 wakeup receiver customers can achieve superior range and long battery life while minimizing size and system cost," says Mark Richey, Transceiver Senior Marketing Manager at austriamicrosystems. "The AS3930 is the latest addition to austriamicrosystems growing low frequency wakeup receiver product family, continuing the tradition of combining exceptional performance with simplicity".
