Less than 30ns on-time synchronous step-down DC/DC controller from Linear

Linear has introduced the LTC3775, a synchronous step-down switching DC/DC controller that drives all N-channel power MOSFET stage from a 4.5V to 38V input supply voltage. The LTC3775 with less than a 30ns minimum on-time suitable for high step-down ratios. The onboard MOSFET gate drivers allow the use of high power external MOSFETs to produce output currents up to 20A with output voltages range from 0.6V to 80% of the input voltage, making the LTC3775 suitable for automotive, industrial, medical, datacom and telecom applications.

The key features of the LTC3775 step-down switching DC/DC controller are,

Line feedforward compensation
Leading edge modulation voltage mode control
±0.75%, 0.6V reference voltage accuracy over temperature
Programmable, cycle-by-cycle peak current limit
Sense resistor or RDS(ON) current sensing
Programmable soft-start to control the turn-on time and manage inrush current
Synchronizable fixed frequency from 250kHz to 1MHz
Selectable pulse-skipping or forced continuous
Modes of operation
14µA (typical) of low shutdown current

Operating temperature range:
LTC3775, LTC3775I: -40°C to 125°C
LTC3775E: -40°C to 85°C
Package: Thermally Enhanced 3mm × 3mm QFN-16 package

Price:
LTC3775E: Starts at each $1.79 for 1k pieces
LTC3775I: Starts at each $2.09 for 1k pieces

Availability: Both versions are available from stock
