Small shaft-type micro optical encoder from CUI for medical and robotics apps

CUI has released the MES3 series, a high performance small shaft-type micro optical encoders with a 5 mm body diameter and a 1.5 mm shaft diameter. The MES3 series is suitable for the applications such as medical and robotics.

The MES3 series provides high precise position and speed information in motion control systems, and is available with resolutions of 64 or 1024 PPR with an option of line driver or open collector output signals.

Operating temperature range: 0 to 60 °C, with max speed of 6,000 RPM.
