6-channel video reconstruction filter with on-chip charge pump from Analog Devices
Analog Devices has introduced the ADA4424-6, a new high-performance 6-channel video reconstruction filter IC that features easy filter and drive video signals ranging from standard to high definition for consumer media players and professional video systems.
The key features of the ADA4424-6 video filter device are,
3 SD channels with 17.5 MHz typical 1 dB bandwidth are composed of two fifth-order Butterworth filters
3 ED/HD channels with 25 MHz/36 MHz typical 1 dB bandwidth are composed of three fifth-order Butterworth filters
Fixed gain of 6.2 dB (2.042 V/V)
Onboard negative supply for output coupling without capacitors
Very low DC offset at the output pins
Internal summation of Y and C channels for composite-video baseband signal (CVBS) output
Flexible input DC offset cancellation for luma channels
D- terminal (EIAJ RC-5237 D5) and S-terminal (S1/S2) support
Capable of driving two back-terminated 75-ohm video loads simultaneously
Separate power-down pins for SD and ED/HD sections
The new video filter IC features an integrated charge pump that allows the outputs to swing up to 1.4-V below ground, eliminating the need for large coupling capacitors. The output drivers on the ADA4424-6 feature rail-to-rail outputs with a fixed gain of 6.2 dB. The filter/buffer section operates from a single 3.3-V supply, and the device includes a 5-V supply pin used for D connector and S1/S2 signaling support.
The suggested applications for the ADA4424-6 channel video filter include DVD players and recorders, Set-top boxes, Projectors, and Personal video recorders.
