Trusted Logic's new NFC protocol stack for Android operating system used in mobiles

Trusted Logic has announced the launch of its Trusted NFC software platform for Google Android operating system. This new platform enabling mobile applications to use handset NFC connectivity and also provides simple interfaces for developing applications, either in native or using Java.

Trusted NFC can be ported on any mobile operating system.

Trusted Logic has already developed the JSR257 interface for J2ME/MIDP applications. Now Trusted NFC provides a similar interface for Android applications.

Reference implementations are available on PC simulation environments such as the Android emulator and on various mobile platforms, using the NXP PN544 NFC controller as the reference for validation. Trusted Logic also tests the reference implementations' interoperability with smart cards and smart labels from different suppliers.

NFC technology enables use cases such as mobile payment, and can benefit from Trusted Logic's Trusted Foundations software to secure NFC applications.
