Interesting new electronics devices and products at Taiwan's Taitronics show

Taitronics show which is now on in Taiwan (8th Oct to 11th Oct 2009) has ample online stuff to give some virtual experience of visit to the exhibition. There are 100s of electronic components displayed from companies mainly in the region of China, Taiwan, and HongKong. There are products ranging from massages seats to lasers but most of them are passive electronic components.

While surfing through dozens of products, we have found following interesting products.

1. 0.9V-LED Driver from Germany based Prema Semiconductor to drive High bright White LED directly from low voltage solar panel of single AA/AAA size battery cell. This low-cost step-up DC/DC converter produces output voltage of 3.6 V suiting white LEDs. PR4401 provides a current of 20mA, PR4402 40mA.

2. Twin Tower power semiconductor modules from Taiwan based DACO Semiconductors. Also check this company website www.dacosemi.com.tw for range of power semiconductor devices such as diodes, rectifiers, Schottky and fast recovery diodes.

3. 808nm High Power, ADL-80 series Laser from ARIMA Lasers with website www.arimalasers.com

4. ASUKA 3.5" DVB-T multimedia mobile TV with TV recording from ASUKA Semiconductor. This is a cute portable DVB TV. It can be suggested for a nice Christmas gift.

5. In the embedded systems line, check the latest kit from IC Nexus. Other embedded system vendor we noticed are Bolymin Inc, Fabiatech, and Protech Systems
