Intel unveils Core i7 Mobile processor for notebook computers

Intel has introduced the Intel Core i7 Mobile Processor and Intel Core i7 Mobile Processor Extreme Edition, bringing Intel's Nehalem microarchitecture to the mobile market. These processors in addition to the new Intel PM55 Express Chipset, provide the better laptop experience for gaming, digital media, photos, music, business applications and other multi-threaded software that hungers for faster processing speed.

The Intel Core i7 mobile processor brings Intel Nehalem's transformative technology to notebooks. The Intel Core i7 Mobile Processor and Intel Core i7 Mobile Processor Extreme Edition offer the power of a desktop in a laptop and features such as Turbo boost technology and Hyper-threading technology, where the Turbo boost technology can accelerate the processor clock speed up to 75 percent to match workloads, and offer better performance on high threaded applications with the power of Intel Hyper-threading technology.
