Littlefuse's diode-array SP3002 now in µDFN-6 and SOT23-6 pacakges

Littelfuse has announced about the package expansion of its SP3002 series, a four-channel diode array with an integrated zener diode. The SP3002 series with SC70-6 is now added with the µDFN-6 and SOT23-6 package options. All options provide enhanced ESD protection per IEC61000-4-2 for electronic devices with a low input capacitance of 0.85pF.

The SP3002-04UTG is suitable for high-speed port protection in mobile devices or in any application where board space comes at a premium. The SP3002-04UTG offers a 43% space savings over the SC70-6 and a 68% savings over the SOT23-6.

Other key features of SP3002-04UTG are,

ESD protection of ±12kV contact discharge, ±15kV air discharge, (IEC61000-4-2)
EFT protection, IEC61000-4-4, 40A (5/50ns)
Low leakage current of 0.5ìA (MAX) at 5V
Small packaging options save board space
Lightning protection, IEC61000-4-5, 4.5A (8/20µs)

And the suggested applications are, Computer peripherals, Mobile phones, PDA's, Digital camera, Network Hardware/Ports, Test equipment, and Medical equipment

The SP3002 series has a 6V reverse standoff voltage with low leakage of <1µA. And its low capacitance of 0.85pF combined with a low dynamic resistance of 1.1O, makes it an ideal to protect sensitive chipsets.
