200mA linear regulator IC with reset for always-on automotive applications

Maxim has introduced the MAX16910, a 20µA quiescent current, and 200mA linear regulator with a reset output with adjustable delay for always-on automotive applications.

The key features of MAX16910 are,

+3.5V to +30V input voltage range, +45V tolerant
Operates through cold-crank conditions
Low-dropout voltage of 280mV at 200mA
Up to 200mA output current capability
Stable operation with tiny 4.7µF output capacitor
User-selectable output voltage
+3.3V or +5V fixed
+1.5V to +11V adjustable with external resistive divider
Open-drain active-low RESET output with adjustable delay
Fixed-reset threshold options: 87.5% or 92.5%
High-voltage enable input (+45V)
Thermal and short-circuit protection
It is AEC-Q100 automotive qualified

Operating temperature range: -40°C to +125°C

Package: thermally enhanced 8-pin TDFN and SO package
