New chip integrates 8-channel DAC and pre-amplifier for audio applications

Diodes Incorporated introduces an 8-channel DAC (digital-to-analog converter) and pre-amplifier chip. This new device is targeted for designing audio/video receivers (AVRs) and add-on sound cards.

The ZXCZM800 reduces circuit complexity in both consumer and professional audio product designs that currently use multiple quality 2-channel DACs to achieve mid- to high level audio performance.

In high-performance differential mode, the ZXCZM800 delivers a dynamic range (DNR) up to 126dB.

The ZXCZM800 also offers pre-amplifier digital signal processor (DSP) features, which can be easily programmed using an existing system host processor.

Diodes provide demo board for evaluating ZXCZM800 DAC and pre-amplifier chip.
