Agilent's IO libraries suite 15.5 software supports windows vista 64-Bit and windows 7
Agilent has announced the release of its IO libraries suite 15.5 software that supports windows vista 64-bit and windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit). The IO libraries suite is a collection of libraries that gives ability to use instruments from a test and measurement program. The suite also includes utilities for quick and easy connect of instruments to PC.
The key features of Agilent's IO libraries suite are,
Automatically scans and configures instrument IO
IO Monitor - trace IO traffic on instruments
Interactive IO - send commands to instruments and read responses
Interactive LXI - interactively send and receive LXI events and managing instrument clocks
VISA Open Report - helps troubleshoot instrument connections for systems with multiple VISA installations
Easy configuration for even complex, mixed-vendor systems
Automatically detects instruments connected to the user's PC and configures the interfaces.
Compatible with GPIB, USB, Ethernet/LAN, RS-232 and VXI test instruments from a variety of vendors
Supports a set of development environments, such as Agilent VEE Pro, MATLAB, Microsoft Visual Studio, NI LabVIEW.
"The latest version of Agilent IO Libraries Suite enables MATLAB users working with large datasets on 64-bit Windows to directly access and control Agilent instruments by taking full advantage of the 64-bit VISA capabilities provided by IO Libraries Suite 15.5," said Eric Wetjen, test and measurement product marketing manager at The MathWorks. "The MathWorks supports 64-bit VISA with the 64-bit version of MATLAB and the Instrument Control Toolbox."
