New HF RFID reader IC for 13.56MHz reader applications

Austria Microsystems has launched the AS3910 HF RFID reader IC delivers high 1W of output power from a 3.3V supply power efficiency, antenna auto-tuning and suitable for portable, ISO 15693 applications and products using PCB antennas.

This device operating at a frequency of 13.56 MHz integrates ISO 14443 A & B data framing and incorporates automatic modulation depth adjustment allowing easy implementation of RFID.

The AS3910 enables read ranges of up to 30cm with no need for any external booster circuitry.
