UMTS femto base-station devices with PHY interface for WCDMA/GSM networks
Maxim has released the MAX2557/MAX2597, a WCDMA Band II and Band V UMTS femto base-station transceiver chipset with a unique digital interface. The receiver (MAX2557) and the transmitter (MAX2597) use high dynamic range MAX-PHY interface to eliminate the need for a mixed-signal analog front-end. The MAX2557 has four low-noise amplifier (LNA) inputs for monitoring the WCDMA and GSM macro-network signals.
The MAX2599 integrates power amplifiers (PAs) to reduce BOM cost. This chipset is ideal for residential gateways and access points.
Operating temperature range: -40°C to +85°C
Package:
MAX2557: 48-pin fcLGA package
MAX2597: 64-pin fcLGA package
