65V high-side power switch with integrated bootstrap function from IR

International Rectifier has introduced the AUIPS7221R, a 65V high-side intelligent power switch with fully integrated bootstrap function. It is suggested for fast actuator applications including fuel magnetic injectors and braking valves.

The AUIPS7221R delivers frequency of 100 kHz and has a current capability up to 25 A making suitable for 12 V or 24 V environments. This device also integrates a charge pump for full DC operation and features over-current and over-temperature shutdown for safe operation and protection under repetitive short circuit conditions. The AUIPS7221R also features diagnostic function and very low current consumption in sleep mode. This device is qualified according to AEC-Q100 standards.

"Designing high current and high frequency protected switches using the AUIPS7221R integrated solution drastically reduces PCB constraints and significantly increases the performance of the entire system. Moreover, fuel injection is more efficient, reducing both consumption and contamination," said David Jacquinod, product marketing manager, IR Automotive Business Unit.
