New RJ45 connector from HARTING for 10Gigabit Ethernet

HARTING has released the HARTING RJ Industrial 10G, which it claims is its next generation of the world's first RJ45 connector requiring no tools for connection. It features a design that can be used for 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

The connection is made using the insulation displacement terminal technology. The insulation displacement terminals are designed for rigid and flexible conductors with an extremely broad range of wire cross-sections. The connector has cables with diameters from 4.5 to 9 mm that are securely fixed in it. This allows users to connect all customary Ethernet cable types with this one RJ 45 connector type. It is also suggested for multiport RJ 45 jacks.
