8-bit, auto direction, logic level translator from Fairchild for multiple range operations
Fairchild Semiconductor has unveiled an 8-bit, auto direction, logic level translator, the FXMA108, to address multiple operating ranges, causing voltage compatibility issues of electronic devices. It is also said to resolve compatibility issues in a mixed voltage environment. It has auto-direction feature that eliminates the need for a direction control pin. It also reduces traces in notebook, smartbook, set-top box and portable medical designs.
The device operates over an operating range of 1.65V to 5.5V and therefore is used in mobile and consumer applications. Its design allows it to handle over-voltage surges up to 7V.
Package: small 20-pin DQFN.
Price: US$0.73 each for 1,000 pieces
