Family of 6 current monitor devices for 40V and 60V operation

Diodes Incorporated has unveiled a family of 6 current monitors for 40V and 60V operation. The ZXCT108X devices detect current in a high-side sense resistor and reference it to ground.

The 40 V devices are,
--The ZXCT1083, ZXCT1085, and ZXCT1087 support a voltage range of 2.7V to 40V, suitable for industrial and computer power supply applications.

The 60 V devices are,
--The ZXCT1082, ZXCT1084, and ZXCT1086, rated for 2.7V to 60V operation, handles automotive load dump and SELV circuits.

These monitors have independent supply and a common-mode voltage input. The monitors can measure currents more than the limits of normal power supply rails. It has a quiescent current of 0.6µA. It also offers the option of fixed and programmable gain. A fixed gain of 25 is provided in the ZXCT1084 and ZXCT1085 and a fixed gain of 50 is provided for the ZXCT1086 and ZXCT1087. The ZXCT1082 and ZXCT1083 offer programmable gains by using 3 external gain setting resistors to increase versatility and thus enabling wide gain ranges and optimization of bandwidths.
