Test tools from Rohde & Schwarz supports frequencies up to 67 GHz

Rohde & Schwarz has made available set of test tools for testing designs in the frequency range up to 67 GHz . These tools are aimed at high frequency communication designs for short range using unlicensed 60GHz band with a bandwidth of 7GHz. The short-range high-speed communications are used mainly to transfer high definition audio/video data from computer to display or between two systems at a data transfer rate of greater than 1 Gbit/s and up to a distance of 10 meters.

The test gear includes:
1. R&SFSU67 spectrum analyzer (has a direct frequency range from 20 Hz to 67 GHz) and fundamental mixing. R&SFS-Z60/75/90/110 harmonic mixers are suggested for extending the frequency range. It is said to support frequency measurements up to 110 GHz and in the third-party harmonic mixers measurements up to 1 THz can be accomplish.
2. R&SZVA67 is a four-port vector network analyzer. Its four sources can be used independently, which can provide help in intermodulation tests or system applications. The frequency range of the network analyzers can be extended up to 325 GHz by using the R&SZVA-Z75/110/325 frequency converters.
3. R&SNRP-Z57 are the thermal power sensor and provides a frequency range from DC up to 67 GHz. It is used for accurate and continuous measurements of average power.
