Family of 6 high-side power switches from Diodes Inc for USB port protection

Diodes has released a family of 6 high-side power switches, the AP21x2A dual channel devices that offer port protection for a wide range of self-powered and bus-powered USB and other hot swap applications. These devices are designed to tolerate heavy capacitive loads and short circuits, and are available with load current ratings of 0.5A, 1.0A and 1.5A, and both polarities of enable input. Delivering a transient response of 2µs the power switches deliver a fast to prevent spurious shutdown or restart. They provide tight tolerance current limiting at ratings of 0.8A, 1.4A or 2.0A.

The AP21x2A products have an automatic output discharge function that provide controlled discharge of disabled output capacitor voltage, and offer improvement in on-resistance over existing dual channel devices. A 7 milli seconds deglitch time on the power switch's fault report flag prevents false over-current reporting.
