Atom based rugged embedded computer for kiosks and digital signage systems

ADLINK has announced the release of the latest rugged EPIC single board computer (SBC), the Ampro by ADLINK ReadyBoard 740. This computer integrates an Intel Atom Processor D510 (dual-core) or Intel Atom Processor D410 (single-core) with ICH8M chipset, on board SSD, H.264 hardware video decoder, networking and a range of I/O interfaces in a small form factor. It is suitable for applications in harsh environments that require high-end video performance such as vehicle computing platforms, self-service kiosks, digital signage, and video surveillance.

ADLINK's ReadyBoard 740 features SO-DIMM for up to 2GB of 667MHz DDR2 RAM, and a Broadcom Crystal HD H.264 video decoder. ReadyBoard 740 include VGA, LVDS, DVI output and high-definition playback (1920 x 1080).

With operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C, ReadyBoard 740 meets MIL-STD-202 vibration up to 11.95Grms and shock up to 50Grms, and is ISO 7637-1, -2, -3 certified (road vehicles - electrical disturbances from conduction and coupling).

Additional I/O interface on ReadyBoard 740 includes four serial ports, two SATA ports, six USB 2.0 ports, four COM ports, parallel port, GbE port and PS/2 keyboard/mouse.
