4 Amps surface mount inductors in 1212 case sizes

Vishay has extended its IHLP family of low-profile, high-current inductors with new device in the 1212 surface mount case size. The 2mm thick new inductor IHLP-1212BZ-11 measures 3.0-mm by 3.6-mm by footprint and operates up to a maximum frequency of 1 MHz. This device is available in the inductance range of 0.22 micro Henries through 1.5 micro Henries, a saturation current range from 4.0 Amperes up to 7.5 Amperes, typical DCR from 9.5 milli ohms to 27.0 milli ohms, and maximum DCR from 11.4 milli ohms to 32.0 milli ohms.

The suggested applications for this chip-type inductor include voltage regulator module (VRM) and dc-to-dc converter applications in end products including next-generation mobile devices, notebooks, desktop computers, graphic cards, portable gaming devices, personal navigation systems, personal multimedia devices, and automotive systems; low-profile, high-current power supplies and point of load (POL) converters; distributed power systems; and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).

The IHLP-1212BZ-11 is RoHS-compliant and withstands operating temperature range of - 55 Deg C to + 125 Deg C, with high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock, and vibration.
