Diode modules with 11KV and 6.5KV blocking capability from Powerex

Developed to meet the high voltage blocking and high current requirements, Powerex is now offering two new high voltage silicon diode modules (QRSB165001 and QRD6565001) which complement its standard 6500V HVIGBT product offering. Each configuration features ribbon-bonded, 67mm diode elements (two per module), which provide 650A of steady-state current.

These modules are offered in a new corona resistant package design to provide 11KV/650A single and 6.5KV/650A half-bridge configuration while providing 12KV isolation to the baseplate.

11KV is achieved by connecting matched diodes in series. All components and interconnects are isolated from the heat sinking baseplate, offering simplified system assembly and thermal management.
