Dual Synchronous Buck Regulator from Intersil to power FPGA, DSP, and Processors.
ISL65426 from Intersil has two synchronous buck regulators with integrated MOSFETS in a QFN package. The input range is 2.375 to 5.5 V. The output voltage can be adjusted from 1V to 80% of I/P voltage and can deliver a total combined current of 6A at a power efficiency of 95%.
The specialty of this regulator is, it has partitioned power block of 1A each. They can be configured for 5A:1A, 4A:2A, 3A:3A, 2A:4A pairs of current sources. It uses current mode control and works at a switching frequency of 1MHz.
The Two PWM for each output is at 180 Degree out of phase with each other to reduce EMI and other noises. Protected for over-current, under-voltage, short circuit and temperature.
Applications targeted are, power supply IC for FPGAs, DSP, CPLD, and CPUs and such similar applications.
