New switch from Fairchild multiplex high speed USB2.0 and audio into a single connector.

Mobilephones can get rid of two separate connectors for audio and USB through these new multiplexer switch ICs FSA201(USB1.1) and FSA221(USB2.0) from Fairchild Semi. These ICs can multiplex and send cellphone's high speed USB to Laptop and audio to earphone through a single connector

Handheld media gadgets; where there is a need to transmit audio and also to interface to computers to load data are the target application of this IC. Mentioned applications are mp3 players, digital cameras, notebooks, LCD monitors and set-top boxes.
