Broadcom's new Wi-Fi chips for cell-phones consume less than 270mw of power while tranceiving.

BCM4326 and BCM4328 integrate 802.11 Wi-Fi tranceivers and radios and a improved new software to optimize and reduce power consumption to one of lowest in comparison to similar Wi-Fi chips. Broadcom says, it only consumes 270mw of power while receiving signals at 54Mbps. Also this device gets well with the Broadcom's blue tooth ICs. This chip features a software stack based on 54g technology with easy configuration set up through built in application called secure-easy- setup. It also features on chip device driver implementation.
