MLX80103 is the new member in the family of LIN Slave ICs from Melexis20th Oct 06

MLX80103 integrates LIN physical layer transceiver and controller, voltage regulator, and an application IO. This chip meets LIN2.0 standard and extendable to LIN2.1. It is used to communicate with automotive parts such as door, roof, seat, steering wheel, dashboard, HVAC, light control or similar switch module.

It is configured to read 34 switches in matrix configuration or as single switches. Sleep mode option is provided. By simple request LIN master is provided with information up to 2 digital encoded rotary switches. It has three high voltage protected analog inputs for battery supply, resistive encoders and resistive switches.
Three slew rate limited, open drain PWM outputs can drive current up to 50mA, which are used for panel illumination.
