24-bit, 16-channel audio DAC chip provides 118dB SNR at 32 kHz to 192 kHz
Analog Devices, Inc has introduced a 16-channel audio D/A converter capable of improving audio system performance and reducing power consumption for professional, "prosumer" and automotive audio equipment applications.
Key features of Audio D/A Converter include:
THD + N = -98 dB
300-mW total (19-mW/channel) quiescent power at AVDD = 3.3 V
2.5-V digital and 3.3-V or 5-V analog and IO supplies
PLL-generated or direct master clock
Supports 24-bit and 32-kHz to 192-kHz sample rates
Qualified for automotive applications
Low EMI design
The ADAU1966 is qualified for AEC-100 automotive applications and operates at a -40° C to +105° C temperature range. It also features an SPI/I2C port which allows an external microcontroller to adjust volume and read the chip temperature to within +/-3°C.
