IBASE' 1U high performance network appliance

IBASE Technology Inc has released the FWA8207 1U high performance network appliance. The core of FWA8207 networking motherboard MB966, which is an Intel 3450 PCH Chipset-based network platform supports Intel Xeon / Core i7/ i5/ i3 processors and has six Gigabit Ethernet ports.

IBASE says it is built around the Intel 3450 PCH Express chipset and PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet functionality comes from six Intel 82574L controllers and three SATA connectors on board provides 3Gb/s data throughput speed. Front expansion is available to support 4-port Gigabit LAN card. Rear expansion is available to support one or two PCI Express 16x slots with the IP327 or IP329 riser card.

Other advanced features include four USB 2.0 ports, two COM ports and a watchdog timer. FWA8207 is a suitable for networking solution for firewall & VPN applications.
