H-Bridge motor drivers for electronic throttles
Toshiba Electronic Devices announced sample availability of TB9054FTG and TB9053FTG featuring 5A 2ch output drivers and a 1ch 10A drive in parallel mode, and also support daisy-chaining. By having SPI communication for control, both are designed to reduce microcontroller ports.
Soon it's going to become mandatory to have On-Board Diagnostic II (OBDII), a self-diagnostic equipment requirements, that calls for automotive motor driver Ics to have SPI communication functions.
Housed in 6.0 mm x 6.0 mm package, TB9054FTG in a wettable flank VQFN package and TB9053FTG in a power QFN package helps in reducing size of the unit.
Other features include, Built-in 2ch H-bridge driver, output driver circuit is configured by DMOS FET with low on-resistance.
Not only for throttle valves, these drivers can be used other various engine valves, retractable door mirrors, and body systems, including electric door latches.
Mass production schedule:
TB9054FTG: March 2022
TB9053FTG: May 2022
