Toradex Colibri iMX6ULL embedded computer module available till 2032
Embedded computer module maker Toradex extended minimum product availability of its Colibri iMX6ULL System on Module (based on the NXP i.MX 6ULL applications processor) til the year 2032. This follows after NXP Semiconductor’s pushing i.MX 6ULL processor to its Product Longevity program.
Toradex says "Long-term availability has always been a key strength and focus of Toradex, as evidenced by the fact that Toradex shipped its first SoM, the Colibri PXA270, to customers for more than 15 years! The latest SoCs, such as the modern, 64-bit NXP i.MX 8X SoCs, continue to be made available in the proven, pin-compatible Colibri form factor, providing customers with an easy upgrade path and further extending the life cycle of these products."
Toradex stresses on the importance of appropriate software support for extended products. Toradex’s internal Software development team provides continuous support to its existing products.
